My mom, dad, and sister's family came to Oregon for a visit and stayed with us for week. It was SO great to see them! I miss my family! We had such a great time and Amelia was so sad when my niece, Emma, went back to Utah. She still says "Emma? Emma? miss Emma" everyday. Amelia particularly liked our day at Cannon Beach. The weather was amazing and Amelia ran straight for the (ice cold) water and had a blast in the sand. She was deliriously tired since she didn't nap on the way as we had planned, but she still had fun.

Movie clips
Here are a couple of short movie clips of Amelia. The first one is of her eating cherries and her reaction to seeing her messy face is quite funny. The second is of her counting. Notice her hair and clothes. 10 minutes prior to this movie, she was in a cute little play dress with her hair in perfectly combed pig tails. Then her cousins came over and they laughed and played in the playroom. Who knows what happened, but she came back looking like this.

My Naked Amelia
As I've said before, Amelia is ALWAYS naked or at least partially so. Matt jokes that she looks white trash, but I just think she's a free spirit :) The moment she goes outside, she wants to be naked so her clothes and diaper don't get wet as she plays in the water - makes sense. And we spend most of our time outside these days. The weather has been amazing. Almost TOO hot. But I shouldn't complain and just enjoy it while it lasts. So here are some pictures of my naked Amelia doing some of her latest antics:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMELIA!!!
Amelia turned 2 on Saturday! We had a great day at the Farmers Market - eating fresh fruit and bread, playing on the playground, dancing to music, and playing in the waterfountain. Amelia got a water toy and some disney princess books - she LOVES Cinderella and Little Mermaid. Grandma Adams was in town the following day to celebrate Amelia's birthday with a Little Mermaid cake.

Just a quick 17-second clip of her blowing our her candle. That was her favorite part - we re-lit it 20 times.

NEW HOUSE!!!!
After 3 very long months of moving around, we are finally in our new house!! We love it and are so happy to have more space and a yard for Amelia to play in. We've pretty much finished unpacking and are busy getting organized and buying furniture and other things you need when you go from a teeny apartment to an actual house.
We are only the 3rd family to move into a neighborhood that will eventually have hundreds of homes and an elementary/middle school, so there is a lot of construction noise going on around us. It's been an adjustment since I can no longer take naps with all the sawing and hammering going on, but luckily Amelia can sleep just fine. I can't complain, though, because I love our house and love the neighborhood and love that the Portland weather is finally acting like summer :)
I only took a few pics before all the movers cluttered things up, so I'll post more pictures of the upstairs, etc. once we are a bit more settled.

About Me
- The Bond Family
- Angie moved to Palo Alto, CA in 2001 to get her Masters degree in Chemistry at Stanford. Matt got his MBA at BYU and started a job at The GAP in San Fransisco in 2002. We met in the Stanford singles ward and were married in the SLC Temple in 2003. Our little Amelia was born prematurely in August 2006 weighing 1lb 15oz. She is still small for her age, but perfectly healthy. Baby Chase was born 7 weeks early in September, but is now home and growing like a...baby. Matt took a job at Nike in Portland, OR in April 2008 so here we are.
