NEW HOUSE!!!!

After 3 very long months of moving around, we are finally in our new house!! We love it and are so happy to have more space and a yard for Amelia to play in. We've pretty much finished unpacking and are busy getting organized and buying furniture and other things you need when you go from a teeny apartment to an actual house.

We are only the 3rd family to move into a neighborhood that will eventually have hundreds of homes and an elementary/middle school, so there is a lot of construction noise going on around us. It's been an adjustment since I can no longer take naps with all the sawing and hammering going on, but luckily Amelia can sleep just fine. I can't complain, though, because I love our house and love the neighborhood and love that the Portland weather is finally acting like summer :)

I only took a few pics before all the movers cluttered things up, so I'll post more pictures of the upstairs, etc. once we are a bit more settled.

And here are some pics of us enjoying summer:
blowing bubbles
sitting outside with doggie

playing in frog pool
Amelia kept saying "I love frog pool, hug" and hugging the frog. I think she liked it :)

Love it, though you should have bought a 60 year old house; it's much more exciting to guess what will break next. : )

What a big and beautiful home!! I love the wood floors in the kitchen, the stainless steel appliances? Wow! And your built-ins, I can't believe how nice it all is! Good for you, you deserve it, especially after years of apartment living.

I'm sure you will love the community.

About Me

My photo
Angie moved to Palo Alto, CA in 2001 to get her Masters degree in Chemistry at Stanford. Matt got his MBA at BYU and started a job at The GAP in San Fransisco in 2002. We met in the Stanford singles ward and were married in the SLC Temple in 2003. Our little Amelia was born prematurely in August 2006 weighing 1lb 15oz. She is still small for her age, but perfectly healthy. Baby Chase was born 7 weeks early in September, but is now home and growing like a...baby. Matt took a job at Nike in Portland, OR in April 2008 so here we are.
