Getting Dressed with Amelia

Amelia is constantly saying whatever she sees. This morning, Amelia was sitting on my bed watching me get dressed and this was our conversation:

"bra. boobies. shirt. on. baby. tummy. pants. jacket. Melia. shirt. off. (I take her shirt off) NAKED!! (she rolls around in the pillows then pops up when she hears an ambulance siren outside) Amblance ou-side. see it? window? (we go look out the window, but don't hear it anymore) Amblance all gone? (yeah) ni-night? (yeah, ambulance went ni-night) K. Daddy? work? soon? blanket? (Matt had barely left for work, but she is so excited for him to get home so we can bounce her in a blanket - our nightly post-dinner ritual - poor thing has to wait 10 hours for this to happen - I tell her daddy will be home later and that we are going to go to the park). Sand? scoop? slide? (yeah). K."

So that's my Amelia. Constantly thinking and talking and learning new things daily. It is so fun to be her mom and watch her personality come through. She's a lot like me. Quick to get frustrated, wants to do whatever she wants and gets mad when she can't, and likes to be naked :)

Here's a picture of my naked Amelia:

She sounds funny. Caroline was more of a talker too. Elizabeth not so much. But her expressions are priceless.

Angie, We miss you so much. Congrats on the house -- looks so nice and big, we might just move in. Amelia could teach James some words since the only one he says all day long is "more". How fun that #2 is going to be a boy! Tell me those secret names you have picked out... Oh, and you look absolutely BEAUTIFUL, as usual.

About Me

My photo
Angie moved to Palo Alto, CA in 2001 to get her Masters degree in Chemistry at Stanford. Matt got his MBA at BYU and started a job at The GAP in San Fransisco in 2002. We met in the Stanford singles ward and were married in the SLC Temple in 2003. Our little Amelia was born prematurely in August 2006 weighing 1lb 15oz. She is still small for her age, but perfectly healthy. Baby Chase was born 7 weeks early in September, but is now home and growing like a...baby. Matt took a job at Nike in Portland, OR in April 2008 so here we are.
